OUR MEAT

Bison are animals who naturally graze and forage to meet their hunger needs. This organically creates a lean meat that is rich in protein and high in iron. Because it is so naturally nutrient dense it allows for smaller portions that are filling and satisfying.

Our animals primarily graze our multi species pastures throughout spring, summer and fall. These pastures are organically gorwn and we do not use pesticides or herbicides on them. In the winter months they are fed hay bales purchased from our neighboring organic farmer. Our meat market animals are given "free choice" oats and pellet mix to give you the highest quality meat. The oats are also purchased from our neighboring organic farmer. "Free choice" means the animals decide how much grain they need to add to their diet. They do not gorge themselves, so we do not need restricted feed. They naturally supplement their diet with about 25% grains when given access.
